VALLEY HEAD – Hunter Allmond tossed a one-hit shutout with 18 strikeouts Tuesday, leading the Gaylesville Trojans to an 8-0 baseball win at Valley Head.
Allmond was also 2-for-4 at the plate with a run for the Trojans (2-4).
Cole Hendon also had a pair of hits for the Trojans, including a triple with a run and a RBI. Landon Chumbler tripled, walked, scored a run and had three RBIs. Bradlee Smith doubled, drove in a run and scored twice. Collin Hendon and Karrson Ray both collected a hit, a walk, a run and a RBI.
Gaylesville travels to Pisgah on Thursday.
