A Piedmont man was discovered deceased under a vehicle on his property on Monday. We received reports of the death, and that it possibly involved the man being attacked by his pigs. The story was held pending officials speaking with the deceased’s family. We reached out to the Piedmont Police Department and received the following statement:

“On Monday 2/17/2025 the Piedmont Police Department and Piedmont Rescue responded to Bramlet Rd in reference to a deceased white male under a vehicle. The white male was identified as Steven Kyle Satterfield, age 51 of Piedmont. It was observed that Mr. Satterfield sustained obvious injuries from his hogs that were out of the fence and appeared to have retreated under his vehicle where he passed away. This case is still under investigation awaiting examination for additional evidence. The Piedmont Police Department extends their condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Satterfield.”
