Centre Street Department gets new truck

The Centre City council met Tuesday tonight council members Davis, Howell, Kelly, Moon, Roberts, and Yarbrough were in attendance. Mayor Mark Mansfield was also in attendance.  The planning meeting took place at 4:30 with the general meeting taking place at 5PM. The meeting minutes of the regular meeting from January 28th were approved. The council approved the accounts payable along with the street department’s request to purchase a 2025 Ford F-150 super crew truck for the purchase price of $47,277.00.

The Council was made aware of the sale of 16 items that had sold on govdeal.com for a total of $106,278.00.

The council approved the Fire department request to purchased needed furniture for the cost of $1,200 and a request to have the fire hall floors striped, cleaned, and buffed for $891.00.  The council also approved the purchase of new umbrellas for the swimming pool a cost of $4190.00. The council approved the purchase of z-screen for the softball and baseball fields from The Pitching Store for the price of $1592.00.

The Council discussed the bid made on phase two for renovations on the gymnasium from Bob Smith Construction. The bid was $490,999.00 the issue was tabled until the next meeting.
