Free Citizen’s Firearms Safety Course Open to the Public

The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office announced they are providing a free firearms safety course, open to the public.

The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, sponsored by Sheriff Jonathon Horton, is offering a FREE Citizen’s Firearms Safety Course to the public! 📚
Classroom Portion: 🗓 March 13, 2025 at 6:00 PM
📍 Etowah County Sheriff’s Office
Range Day: 🗓 March 15, 2025 at 8:00 AM
📍 Owls Hollow Public Shooting Range
What You’ll Learn:
Firearms safety rules
Handgun fundamentals
Updated concealed carry laws
Alabama self-defense laws
🧑‍🏫 After the classroom session, you’ll have the option to attend a Range Day the following Saturday. This gives you one-on-one help from Sheriff’s Office firearms instructors!
Important: Please bring 50-100 rounds of ammunition for the range session.
💥 Owls Hollow Shooting Range is open daily from dawn to dusk and is maintained by the Sheriff’s Office.
