SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. – Ty Traffanstedt tallied 16 points, including three 3-pointers. He also had six rebounds and five assists, but they weren’t enough to lead the Sand Rock Wildcats past Signal Mountain (Tenn.) in basketball action Tuesday. The Wildcats fell by the final of 71-52.
Jonas Browder also sank three treys for Sand Rock (15-8). He had 11 points, two rebounds and two assists.
Cam Gifford accounted for nine points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block. Thomas Snead had six points on a pair of 3-pointers. Wyatt Miller also finished with six points, along with three rebounds and a block.
Max Rackel and Christian Thompson both scored 16 points to lead Signal Mountain. Rackel sank four treys.
Pelham Shoemate netted nine points. Zach Isaac added eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Will Harwood finished with seven points.
Signal Mountain jumped out to a 24-7 lead in the first quarter and held a 44-22 advantage at halftime. The Eagles led 56-39 at the end of three quarters.
Sand Rock hosts Hokes Bluff on Thursday.
