During the Town Council meeting on Monday, Police Chief, Jeremy Stepps, gave the Council the department’s report for December.
Officers patrolled 11,561 miles during the month, issued 58 warnings, issued 19 citations, made 7 felony arrests, 16 misdemeanor arrests, served 7 warrants, issued 42 incident and offense reports, responded to 4 crime tips, and checked businesses 6640 times.
For the year of 2024, the department made 284 arrests, 124 were felonies, 220 were misdemeanors, served 118 warrants, issued 603 incident and offense reports, responded to 25 crime tips, issued 1471 warnings, 480 traffic citations, and patrolled 144,921 miles.
