SAND ROCK – The Gaston Bulldogs went on a 10-4 run in overtime to take a 52-46 area basketball win at Sand Rock on Friday.
The two teams were tied at 42 at the end of regulation.
Gaston’s Mica Merriman topped all scorers with 27 points. Kodie Bogle added 12 points and Devon Green finished with 10 points for the Bulldogs.
Ty Traffanstedt topped Sand Rock (7-5, 2-1 Class 2A Area 13) with 20 points, five rebounds, two steals and an assist. Will Cleere contributed 12 points, eight rebounds, an assist and a block. Cam Gifford finished with seven points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Sand Rock hosts Coosa Christian on Monday.
