SPRING GARDEN – Spring Garden’s John Welsh sank three 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 40 points in leading the Panthers to a 92-41 basketball win over Jacksonville Christian on Friday.
Twin brother Jake Welsh added 17 points for the Panthers (3-0). Jaylen Brown also connected on three treys and had 13 points.
Noah Barber hit a coupled of treys and had six points. Brady Ruark and Connor Bates both finished with five points.
Jesse Gannaway topped the Thunder with 15 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Bryson Dowdey and Noah Lee both finished with eight points.
Spring Garden built a 21-10 first-quarter lead and held a 46-19 advantage at halftime. The Panthers led 77-29 after three quarters.
Spring Garden travels to Donoho on Monday.
