SPRING GARDEN – Jake Welsh netted a game-high 26 points, including an 8-of-10 performance from the free-throw line, in Spring Garden’s 76-43 basketball win over Weaver on Tuesday.

Jaylen Brown tossed in 15 points for the Panthers (2-0). Noah Barber added 14 points. Connor Bates contributed 12 points and John Welsh finished with nine points.

Harper Williams led the Bearcats with 13 points. KeShawn Allen finished with 11 points.

Spring Garden jumped out to a 21-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter and led 38-16 at halftime. The Panthers held a 61-34 edge at the end of three quarters.

Spring Garden hosts Jacksonville Christian on Friday.
