In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
Mable Pangle, age 24 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department for failure to appear on a charge of 4th degree theft of property.
Ruby Smith, age 67 of Rainsville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ashley Smith, age 35 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Centre Police Department for failure to appear on a charge of resisting arrest.
Brian Johnson, age 36 of Fort Payne, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, 3rd degree theft of property, 2nd degree theft of property, and two counts of 3rd degree burglary.
Jay Hunter, age 19 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.
Lindsey Busby, age 35 of Lyerly, Georgia was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, promoting prison contraband, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, and failure to appear on a charge of no visible tag.
Gregory Higgins, age 49 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and 2nd degree promoting prison contraband.
Charles Snead, age 45 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.
Kevin Agan, age 42 of Weaver, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.
Kelia Crider, age 41 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and tampering with evidence.
Arrests are based upon probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 118 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
