During Mayor Craig Ford’s recent State of the City address, he said Developer Patrick Lawler has signed an agreement with the city for a New Development, Coosa Harbor, which Mr. Lawler said would cost more than $20 million.
It is to be built along the banks of the Coosa River in Gadsden on property owned by the City off Rainbow Drive. Mayor Ford told those in attendance, “This is not a pie in the sky idea, it is what’s happening.”
Construction is expected to begin within the next year and should resemble Guntersville’s City Harbor, which Lawler developed.
