Pedestrian Struck and Killed Saturday Morning in North Georgia

The Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome, Georgia, reported early Saturday morning, that a pedestrian was struck, and killed before daylight – while walking along Highway 114, otherwise known as the Lyerly Highway. 

Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader said that the accident happened at around 5:30am, just south of Lyerly – and that the motorist that struck the pedestrian left the scene of the accident;

Area law enforcement officials are still looking for information about the incident.  The Georgia State Patrol is conducting that investigation, along with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
