In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

MICHAEL LONG age 49 of Piedmont was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

CALVIN BELL, age 57 of Centre, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Failure to Appear/Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (two counts);

ZACHARY NANCE, age 33 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

KENYON JONES age 28 from Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree;

JODY MCMURRAY, age 50 of Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and also Attempting to Elude;

BRITTANY SELMAN 28 from Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree – also with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

And

MICHAEL SHARP age 35 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Failure to Appear on the prior charge of

Driving While Suspended.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 108 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
