Cherokee County, Piedmont, Spring Garden maintain top 5 football rankings

The Cherokee County Warriors, Piedmont Bulldogs and Spring Garden Panthers head into football’s final week of the regular season still ranked in the top five. The latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football poll was released early Wednesday morning.

Both the Warriors (9-1) and Bulldogs (9-0) are still ranked third, while Spring Garden is fourth in the teams’ respective classes.
Cherokee County has this Friday off before hosting a home playoff game on Nov. 8. Piedmont closes out region play at Glencoe (2-7), and Spring Garden entertains Ranburne (3-6) on Friday.
