EDWARD SEXTON, age 31 of Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Promoting Prison Contraband and also Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree;
MICHAEL PRIEST age 39 of Gaylesville – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Failure to Appear, on a previous charge of Probation Revocation;
KRISTIN FOSTER, age 32 of Gaylesville, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation;
EDWARD HOLLIDAY age 44 of Jacksonville was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Failure to Appear on a previous count of Forgery 3rd Degree;
MALACHI TAYLOR, age 20 of Anniston was arrested by Centre Police, and charged with Failure to Appear on a previous count of Expired Tag;
DONALD HOLCOMB, age 37 of Gaylesville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order;
NAKIA NELSON, age 47 of Adairsville, Georgia – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice;
And
JUSTIN THOMPSON, age 34 of Gaylesville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Resisting Arrest, with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Attempting to Elude and also with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 112 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
