The Cherokee County Warriors, Piedmont Bulldogs and Spring Garden Panthers have all clinched region championships and will host home playoff games on Nov. 8. All three continue to maintain their top five rankings in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football poll. The latest rankings were released early Wednesday morning.
The Warriors (8-1) and Bulldogs (8-0) are still third in the Class 4A and 3A polls respectively. The Panthers (9-0) hold steady at No. 4 in Class 1A.
Cherokee County hosts Ashville (1-7) to close out Region 6 action on Friday. Piedmont entertains rival Wellborn (5-2), while Spring Garden has this Friday off.
