Citing Listeria concerns, Dollar General, Target, Walmart, and more than a dozen other well-known national chains, will pull frozen waffles off the shelves – following a voluntary recall issued by manufacturer Treehouse Foods.
Routine testing at the manufacturing facility found Listeria.
According to a recent release from the company as of October 18th there have been no confirmed reports of illness linked to the recalled products. In the release the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) advised consumers to check their freezers for ANY of the products listed in the recall and dispose of them or return the recalled product, to the place of purchase, for credit.
