Centre Police and various other first responders, were dispatched to two separate accidents on Saturday.

The first was at 1:55pm on West Main Street at the Bypass – and involved three vehicles:  a 19-year old female from Centre – driving a 2014 Toyota Corolla; a 2019 Nissan Altima, being driven by a 49 year old woman from Leesburg and a 2007 Honda – driven by a 71 year old female of Gadsden.  A minor riding in the Toyota, was treated at the scene and released while the driver of the Honda was hurt in the mishap and reportedly was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Fortunately, both drivers were merely shaken up and no one was hurt in a two vehicle accident – taking place at 2:19pm, on the Chesnut Bypass at Armory Road; the mishap involved: a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport – being driven by a male from Centre and a 2023 Nissan, driven by a male from Piedmont.

Both wrecks remain under investigation.
