FORT PAYNE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors split a volleyball tri-match at Fort Payne on Tuesday. The Lady Warriors defeated Albertville 30-28, 25-20, but lost to Fort Payne 31-29, 14-25 and 3-15.
For the day, Macy Lea managed 42 assists, nine kills, 11 digs and an ace. Ava Haygood collected 18 kills, 10 digs and three assists. Ellisan Givens earned 27 digs, four aces, a kill and four assists. Nevaeh Gaidurgis posted 18 kills, 12 digs, an ace, an assist, and a block. Jesslyn Hincy finished with 10 digs, two assists and an ace.
Cherokee County (32-11) hosts Alexandria and Spring Garden in a tri-match on Thursday.
