In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

PHILLIP SLAYTON, age 33 of Piedmont, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office charged with Attempting to Elude and also Carrying Brass Knuckles;

KENDRA CRANE, age 31 from Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering With Physical Evidence, and with Failure to Appear on previous charges of the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

AARON WHORTON, 47 from Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on the charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, with Attempting to Elude and with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Evidence and Littering, also Failure to Appear on the previous charges of – Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree;

CODY WORD age 40 of Jacksonville was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on the charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and Tampering with Physical Evidence;

MICHAEL MCCAULEY, age 41 of Piedmont – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for Bondsman off Bond and Failure to Appear on a Probation Revocation;

EVIN RODEN, age 30 of Centre, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on the charge of – Grand Jury Indictment/Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

And

JOEY RAGSDALE age 35 of Ashville – was arrested by Centre Police on the charge of DUI/Driving Under the Influence – Alcohol.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 108 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
