Overdose Deaths In The United States Have Gone Down

According to new public health data, drug-related deaths have gone down more than 10% in the past 12 months ending in April, a massive improvement from double-digit increases in past years.

Researchers say that in states with quick data collection systems, the declines might be even steeper , up to a possible 30%. They claim the turn around on the prevalence of naloxone, which can reverse opioid overdoses. As well as other advancements in treatments for fentanyl addiction. But, there are still 100,000 deaths in the United States each year due to drug overdoses.
