In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

DAVID SMITH, age 58 from Jacksonville arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with the Manufacture of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree;

ROBERT PRUITT, age 59 of Jacksonville arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (two counts), Manufacture of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree – as well as Possession of Controlled Substance, and Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Firearm;

And

STEVEN HARP, age 33 of Talladega, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 113 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
