Monday afternoon – Floyd 9-1-1 Dispatch received a report that a person had been struck by a van on the pedestrian walkway in front of Publix on Turner McCall Boulevard. Rome Police and the Fire Department responded to the area with Atrium Floyd EMS.
According to 9-1-1 Dispatch the victim sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to an area hospital from the scene.
