Sheriff’s Office Take Justin Lee CUNNINGHAM Into Custody AFTER HIGH SPEED CHASE

Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators were patrolling near Lindsey’s Crossroads when they observed a driver of a vehicle not wearing his seat belt. Investigators initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and it stopped. The driver of the vehicle became irate and drove off at a high rate of speed. During the pursuit, the driver threw out a bag into Weiss Lake. The pursuit came to an end where investigators and Cedar Bluff officers took the driver, Justin Lee Cunningham (42 y/o of Centre) into custody. Investigators recovered the bag out of the lake and discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine inside.

A search warrant was later executed for Cunningham’s residence in the Newberry’s Community.  As a result of the search warrant Investigators also found a large quantity of fentanyl, firearms, and other various illegal narcotics.
