SPRING GARDEN – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers swept a volleyball tri-match against visiting White Plains and Sand Rock on Monday. The Lady Panthers dropped the first set against White Plains 23-25, but rebounded to take the next two 25-20 and 15-10.

Against Sand Rock, the Lady Panthers won 25-15, 25-21.

In the win over White Plains, Avery Steward delivered 23 assists, eight digs and a kill. Maggie Jarrett posted 19 digs six kills and a block. Olivia Law accumulated 11 kills, 10 digs, two aces and two blocks.

Kristen Lewis contributed 17 digs and a kill. Montana Highfield managed three kills, three blocks, two aces and a dig. Had Chloe Fennell a kill and a block. Hollis Jane Petty came away with two kills and two blocks. Lacie Jo McMurry finished with four digs.

In the win over Sand Rock, Steward collected 17 assists, four digs, two aces and a kill. Jarrett tallied 11 digs, four aces and two kills. Law earned nine kills, eight digs and two blocks. Lewis posted six digs.

Highfield came away with five aces, three kills, two blocks and a dig. Fennell posted a dig. Petty finished with three kills and two digs.

Sand Rock also lost to White Plains. The scores were 15-25 and 13-25.

For Sand Rock in both matches, Paitlyn Hughes had 15 digs. Peyton Johnson delivered 12 kills and three aces. Caitlyn Lynch collected six kills, four aces and three blocks. Maddie Clanton came away with 23 assists. Molly Grace Lay contributed 13 digs. Macey Pruitt finished with five kills and two blocks.

Sand Rock hosts Gaston and Spring Garden plays at Cedar Bluff on Tuesday.
