WALNUT GROVE — Sand Rock advanced to the semifinals of the West End Volleyball Invitational on Saturday.
In pool play, the Lady Wildcats lost to Westbrook 14-25, 18-25, beat Fairview 25-21, 25-22 and lost to Good Hope 24-26, 13-25.
In tournament play, Sand Rock defeated West End 25-16, 25-10, and in the semifinals, lost to Sardis 7-25, 21-25.
For the day, Peyton Johnson accumulated 23 kills and three blocks for the Lady Wildcats (5-13). Maddie Clanton managed 61 assists and three aces. Macey Pruitt delivered 17 kills and seven blocks. Caitlyn Lynch came away with 16 kills, five aces, and three blocks. Molly Grace Lay posted 34 digs. Paisley Ford finished with 11 kills and three aces.
Sand Rock plays in a tri-match with White Plains at Spring Garden on Monday.
