The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office take many calls from residents that have received calls from scammers saying that they are  Cherokee County Sheriff’s  Office officials who claim to be looking for an individual who has a fine or some sort of warrant for missing jury  duty or some other legal situation. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is telling you that if you ever receive a call, text, or email from another person telling you they work for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office check it out first. Be proactive,hang up and call their main line number,(256) 927-3365. Always, remember scammers are out there and do exist !
