The 2024 high school football season is fast approaching. The regular season kicks off Aug. 22-23 with Week 0 action, but area teams will get dress rehearsals tonight as all seven of WEIS radio’s coverage area teams are in jamboree action.

Sand Rock and Piedmont are both in action at White Plains. Sand Rock takes on Saks at White Plains at 4:55 p.m., followed by the Wildcats and Ohatchee at 5:45 p.m.

Piedmont takes on Jacksonville at White Plains at 7:40 p.m., followed immediately after by the Bulldogs and White Plains.

Also tonight, Cedar Bluff is at Fayetteville, Collinsville is at Appalachian, and Spring Garden is at Ranburne, with all of those scrimmages beginning at 7 p.m.

Two area teams host scrimmages on Friday. Gaylesville entertains Gaston at 6 p.m., and the Cherokee County Warriors host North Jackson in a scrimmage at 7 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.
