In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

RONNIE MCCARLEY, age 57 of Rome, Georgia – was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department, on charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

CRYSTAL SHELTON, age 33 of Menlo, Georgia – was arrested by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

TIMOTHY MCGATHA, age 37 from Dawson, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Failure to Appear;

BRIAN JOHNSON, age 35 of Fort Payne was arrested by Centre Police on a charge of Retail Theft 3rd Degree;

MEGAN WALKER, age 31 from Gadsden, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and is currently On Hold for another agency;

And

RAKEEM WILLIAMS – age 31 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – and one count of the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 110 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
