A number of Chattooga County, Georgia Deputies were sent to Back Penn Road recently due to a man chasing juveniles down the road with a metal pipe.

One of the Deputies, spoke with the girl reportedly assaulted – she stated that she was visiting her cousin 28-year-old Johnathan Blackmon – when he got mad at her – because she said she wanted to go to her best friend’s house.   She said that Blackmon placed his hands around her neck – where he left visible redness – and then grabbed her arm, leaving redness on her right arm; she said she ran away to go to her friend’s house – then – added that Blackmon’s son ran away as well – BUT he was picked up by other family members.

The Deputies went to Blackmon’s home where the incident occurred and found him walking up the street.  Blackmon was placed under arrest, and during the drive to jail, he stated that all he did was put his hands around the victims stomach.

Blackmon was charged with Cruelty to Children and with Battery, and he was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
