The body of 64-year-old Alfred Trapp, Jr. – was found in Armuchee Creek in Georgia this past Wednesday.
Reports at that time quoted the Floyd County Coroner’s Office – as saying that Trapp was “homeless” – BUT – family members have informed other news outlets that he was not, indeed, homeless. The family said the information that came from Floyd County Authorities was “Not accurate, and has caused significant distress to those who knew and loved Trapp”. The family then went on to state “The matter is deeply personal – and the incorrect portrayal of Alfred’s life is devastating to his family and friends”.
Trapp’s body was found in Armuchee Creek, after a passerby had noticed a human body in the water and notified authorities. Trapp’s personal affects were found on the creek bank nearby. The Floyd County Coroner’s Office, says that Trapp had been in the water for some time before the discovery of the body.
No foul play is suspected, according to Floyd County authorities.
