Stephen “Steve” E. Carroll, age 70, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama (formerly of LaFayette) passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

He was a supervisor for Diamond Carpet for many years and later worked as a service technician for Blossman Gas for 17 years. He was a member of Waterville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Carroll; brother, Jr.

Carroll; and his parents, Dwight and Trudy Carroll.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Susan “Sue” Carroll; daughter, Kim (Eric) Goins; grandchildren, Drew (Massi) Goins, Preston Goins, Levi Goins, Stacey “Dani” (Mitch) Allen, and Lindsey Tapp; great grandchildren, Ryatt Allen, Milli Allen, Laya Lombardo, Isaiah Higgins, Eliana Goins, and Nehemiah Goins; siblings, Brenda Day, Desiree Carroll Scott, and Rodney (Karen) Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, with the funeral service following in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel. Pastor Sam Barrett and Steve’s grandson, Drew Goins will officiate.

Interment will take place at Bryan Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Preston Goins, Levi Goins, Mitch Allen, Dennis Smith, David Day, Dwight “Scooter” Carroll, Wesley Carroll, and Wade Smith.

Honorary pallbearers are Kaleb Burrage, Barry Smith, Rodney Carroll Jr., Timmy Carroll, Terry Lumpkin, and the men of Waterville Baptist Church.
