Floyd County Police have found the body of a person in Armuchee Creek, and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. According to the Floyd County Police Department’s Public Affairs Officer Michael Bell: Police were on the scene, north of Turkey Mountain Road at around 3:00pm Wednesday but the terrain initially made it hard to access the area and remove the body.
The coroner was called to the scene – and the matter still remains under investigation.
