In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

SCOTT AKINS, age 49 of Fort Payne was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts) and Violation of the Prohibition Law;

KIMBERLY DANIEL, age 56 of Fort Payne – arrested by Cedar Bluff Police, on charges of Failure to Appear on a previous Insurance Violation;

TRACIE JONES, age 49 of Talladega, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of Theft of Property 3rd Degree;

And

CHELSEA BLACK age 23 of Rome, Georgia – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 105 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
