Alabama State Troopers say that a 20 year old woman – was sitting in the roadway on I-65 – when she was struck and killed by an SUV on Saturday morning.
That incident occurred at around 2:30am near Highway 69 and the Good Hope community. Alabama Troopers identified the woman as Madelyn Guerra of Adelphia, Maryland. A second woman, a 19 year old from Anniston was also struck while walking in the roadway and she was then rushed to UAB Hospital – where her condition remains unknown.
Troopers did not comment on why the woman was in the roadway.
The investigation into the matter is on-going – and there are no reported injuries, or charges, against the driver.
