Mr.Charles Wood, age 89 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held 3 PM Friday, July 19, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Charles Randall Wood, Jr.; daughter, Paula Woodring; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadean Wood; daughter, Denise Tillery; granddaughter, Natasha Tillery.
Mr. Wood was a lifelong resident of Alabama and was the son of the late Loy Homer and Annie Marie Wood.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
