In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Previous 24 Hours:

DEBRA WOOD, age 68 from Cedar Bluff, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Failure to Appear on the prior charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

DANIEL GOUSE, age 46 from Fort Payne arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged Failure to Appear on the previous charges of Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Firearm; Driving While Suspended; and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

And

CODY DANIEL, age 23 of Leesburg – was arrested by the Centre Police, on charges of DUI/Driving Under the Influence.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 94 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
