ETOWAH COUNTY, AL – Friday, June 21st, The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Fusion Center – received a law enforcement bulletin concerning an endangered, and missing one-year-old child from the Fall River Police Department in Massachusetts.

According to information received from the Fall River Police Department Genezza Packett – age 22 was visiting her one-year-old son – who lives in the custody of her aunt, on Thursday, June 20th.  Packett advised that she was taking her son to a local “Dunkin’ Donuts” but never returned with the child.  After further investigation, Packett and the child were believed to be in a vehicle traveling south towards Mississippi.

AFC Intelligence Analysts relayed pertinent information to Troopers that were assigned to ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division – and, at approximately 10:15am, the ALEA Troopers found that vehicle on I-59 in Etowah County near Attalla and conducted a traffic stop – where the child was recovered safely.

Packett is facing pending criminal charges by Fall River Police.
