On Friday, July 5, Downtown Gadsden will host the popular First Friday event from

6:00 to 9:00 pm. This will provide both residents and visitors the opportunity to explore Broad Street and beyond for dining, shopping, enjoying classic cars and live music.

 Broad Street will be closed to automobile traffic at 4:00pm to allow classic cars, live music and food vendors to set up. This month’s entertainment will include, Cosmic Mischief at 2nd & Broad, Kevin Moore at 3rd & Broad, Sky Dogs at 4th & Broad, Vintage at 5th & Broad, and live music at Cosmic Debris on the 600 block.

 Don’t forget to include a visit to the Gadsden Museum of Art too!

“We are expecting some hotter than normal weather, so please stay hydrated and be very careful not to become overheated!” advised DGI Director Kay Moore.

The guidelines for First Friday include no pets, no personal coolers or glass containers,

no skateboards or roller blades and no advertising or fundraising. Additional parking is

available at Foote Brothers Carpet One at 2nd and Locust Streets.
