In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

HURTADO VELASCO, age 29, ADDRESS NOT AVAILABLE – was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police and charged with Public Intoxication;

JESSIE TEDDER, age 44 of Fort Payne, was arrested by Leesburg Police on charges of the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (two counts) – the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, also with the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree/Failure to Appear;

And

ERIC ELLARD, age 25 of Gadsden – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on the charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 101 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
