Children’s Advocacy Center of Cherokee County is Special Sponsor at Chamber of Commerce Meeting

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, during their latest meeting welcomed Lori Harris with the Children’s Advocacy Center of the County, to address those in attendance.  She covered a large number of items taking place, including their annual signing by City Leaders around the county of a proclamation showing the support for the program – and acknowledging what they do to help those that are truly affected.

April is “Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month” and her discussion regarding what they do as an organization expresses both the dire NEED, and an understanding of all that needs to take place – in order to provide meaningful assistance.

The Children’s Advocacy Center takes a number of different steps for any of those that need help – and that includes research and the assistance of law enforcement and many others throughout the community.  For approximately 25 years the Advocacy Center has been working to try and help make this a better world – and it’s both demanding but also can be extremely rewarding.
