CEDAR BLUFF – Kaden Pack allowed just two earned runs on seven hits with no walks and a strikeout in seven innings. He also contributed a hit, a walk and a run at the plate to help No. 10 Cedar Bluff win a Class 1A, Area 13 baseball series against Spring Garden on Friday. The final was 8-2.

Dylan McDaniel doubled, walked and scored a run for the Tigers (15-11). Isaac Bishop went 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs and two RBIs. Caleb Edmondson was 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Warren Wallace delivered a hit and a RBI. Hunter Stallings had a hit.

Bryson Teague walked twice and scored a run. Eli McFry drove in a run. Jacob Chambers finished with a walk.

Chapel Pope led Spring Garden (7-14) with a triple. Connor Bates contributed a hit and a RBI. He was also hit by a pitch. John Welsh had a hit and scored a run. Clayton Sadler, Grey Simpson, Jacob Welsh and Hunter Parris each added a hit apiece. Zane Edwards scored a run.

Bates suffered the loss after working 3 2/3 innings. He allowed five earned runs on four hits with seven walks and four strikeouts. Pope pitched 2 1/3 innings and gave up an earned run on a pair of hits with a walk and two strikeouts.
