ANNISTON – The Piedmont Lady Bulldogs pounded out 14 hits and scored 25 runs in a 25-4 softball win at Saks on Monday.
Cacey Brothers led the Lady Bulldogs with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate. She also scored a run and drove in three. Cayla Brothers went 2-for-3 with a double, four runs and a RBI.
Jaycee Glover was also 2-for-3 with three runs and four RBIs. Ava Pope went 2-for-2 with four runs and three RBIs. Eliza Mathis was also 2-for-2 with a run and two RBIs. Skylea Kirk contributed a pair of hits and a RBI. Carson Young finished with a double, a run and three RBIs.
Young also earned the win in the circle. She allowed two hits and a walk with a strikeout. Callie Faulkner tossed an inning and gave up four earned runs on five hits with a strikeout.
Piedmont hosts Cedar Bluff on Thursday at 5 p.m.
