Another $1,000 Winner in the Weiss Lake Crappie Rodeo

MANY of the absolute Finest Angler’s from all around the world are HERE in Cherokee County to take part in the Weiss Lake Crappie Rodeo, which is going strong now!

1,001 tagged fish were released into Weiss Lake for this HUGE event, and fishermen from far and wide are here now – to show off their skills in the Crappie Rodeo – which runs through April 30th. 

Over $130,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs – simply visit the County Chamber of Commerce, OR the Weiss Lake Improvement Association, for additional information, including the many locations where you can buy your “Fishing Badge” (which is required), a long list of weigh-in locations and much more.

ANOTHER $1,000 Tagged Fish has been caught, this one by Steve Smith, a resident of Paint Lick, Kentucky. 

Smith was fishing in the Embo’s Island area when he made the catch, and turned it in at the Bay Springs Motel location.
