Mrs. Eleanor Louise Chambers, better known by her family as Darly, went to her eternal home in Heaven on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
A funeral service will be held 11AM Saturday, March 16th, at Noah Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM until the hour of service Saturday at the Church. Burial will follow in Noah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include John Allen Rayborn, Patrick Rayborn, Jeremy Chambers, Joshua Chambers, Jameson Green, Jonathan Green.
Honorary Pallbearers will include David and Jacob Chambers and Paul Daniel.
Eleanor was born on September 16, 1947. She married the love of her life, the late Travis Jay Chambers, on June 17th, 1966. They were both born again into the Kingdom of God in the summer of 1967 and became members of Noah Baptist Church where their membership remained until their deaths.
Eleanor was a devoted wife (of 56 years), mother, and grandmother (Darly). She loved nothing more than taking care of and spending time with her family. She is survived by a brother, Buddy (Debbie) Green; a son, Jeffery Jay (Lynn) Chambers; a daughter, Sherry Chambers Rayborn; grandchildren, John Allen Rayborn, Patrick (Anna Lee) Rayborn, Anna (Justin) Rayborn Moore, Jay (Alexis) chambers, Jeremy Chambers, Joshua Chambers and Izabella Rayborn and 3 great grandchildren; special friends, Peggy Young, Gail Daniel, Sarah Peek, and Doris Barkley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Ora Green; sister, Jennie Grace; and husband Travis Chambers; and one great grandson.
The family will receive flowers delivered to the church or donations may be made in her honor to Gideons International.
