Mrs. Katherine Crane Black, age 79 of Centre, passed away Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at her Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA.
A funeral service will be held 1 PM on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ricky Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Hunter Owens, Randy White, Matthew Sullivan, Jake Dawson, Wesley Dawson and Zac Young.
She was survived by her son, Brian Black; daughters, Pamela Roberts (Derek), Rhonda McGee; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Black; daughters, Sheila Dutton (David), Sandra Black; brothers, Roger Crane, Ronald Crane, Lester Crane, Donald Crane; sisters, Mildred Bright and Shirley Abernathy.
Ms. Black was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Leno and Sue Crane and she was of the Baptist faith.
