JACKSONVILLE – The Cherokee County Lady Warrior tennis team improve to 4-0 Thursday with an 8-1 victory against Jacksonville at Jacksonville State University in their first sectional match of the season.

Below are singles and doubles results from Thursday.

Singles

1. Jacksonville’s Mikaela Watkins def. Cherokee County’s Briley Hincy 6-4, 6-2.

2. Cherokee County’s Aubree Sipsy def. Jacksonville’s Nyla Reyes 6-0, 6-0.

3. Cherokee County’s Nevaeh Gaidurgis def. Jacksonville’s Penelope Fourquet 6-0, 6-0.

4. Cherokee County’s Brooke Hincy def. Jacksonville’s Cora Benoit 6-4, 6-2.

5. Cherokee County’s Mattie Goss def. Jacksonville’s Stevie Blackburn 6-0, 6-0.

6. Cherokee County’s Ella Maples def. Jacksonville’s Madelyn Penny 6-0, 6-1.

Doubles

1. Cherokee County’s Briley Hincy/Sipsy def. Jacksonville’s Watkins/Fourquet 6-2, 6-2.

2. Cherokee County’s Brooke Hincy/Maples def. Jacksonville’s Reyes/Benoit 6-1, 6-0.
