Cedar Bluff’s bats keep bashing in 13-4 softball win over Jacksonville Christian

CEDAR BLUFF – Cedar Bluff’s offense continued pounding out the hits and churning out the runs on Monday against visiting Jacksonville Christian. The Lady Tigers improved to 4-0 with a 13-4 victory.

Through their four games so far this season, the Lady Tigers have outscored their opponents 64-14.

Cedar Bluff collected 12 hits on Monday, led by a pair each from Ciana Smith, Kindal Grace, Za’Niya Kyle, Rylie Walker and Kaylyn Vadon.

On Monday, Cedar Bluff scored three runs in the first, four more in the second, three more in the third and added a run in the fourth to take a commanding 10-0 lead.

Smith tripled and doubled, scored a run and drove in two more. Grace doubled, singled, walked, scored a run and drove in one. Kyle doubled, singled and scored twice. Walker singled twice, scored twice and drove in two runs. Vadon singled twice and scored two runs.

Anslee Evans tripled, scored a run and drove in one. Anna Henderson added a single and scored a run. Blakelea Hall walked twice, stole two bases, scored three runs and had a RBI.

Hall also tossed four innings. She held Jacksonville Christian scoreless on two hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Mackenzie Kimmons pitched three innings. She gave up three earned runs on four hits with a walk and four strikeouts.

Cedar Bluff plays Sand Rock in the Cherokee County Tournament at Spring Garden on Thursday.
