Sand Rock baseball bashes Crossville in season opener

SAND ROCK – Morgan Tucker went 2-for-3 with a walk and a 3-run homer in helping the Sand Rock Wildcats earn a 17-0 season-opening baseball win against visiting Crossville on Tuesday.

Cam Gifford went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Nick Clanton contributed a pair of hits and three RBIs.

Caleb Yoder tossed three no-hit innings with three walks and eight strikeouts. Blane Clark worked the last two innings.

Sand Rock is scheduled to play a doubleheader at Spring Garden on Friday beginning at 4:30 p.m.
