CENTRE – The Cherokee County Lady Warrior tennis team improved to 3-0 following a 5-4 win over Fort Payne on Tuesday in Centre. The Warrior boys fell 7-2.

In girls singles:

1 Courtnie Rae Carrol (Fort Payne) def. Briley Hincy 6-0, 6-2.

2 Anna Kate Akins (Fort Payne) def. Aubree Sipsy 6-2, 6-0.

3 Brooke Hincy (CCHS) def. Micaela Domingo 6-1, 6-3.

4 Debbie Domingo (Fort Payne) def. Mattie Goss 6-0, 3-6 (11-9).

5 Ella Maples (CCHS) def. Braelyn Neeley 6-0, 6-2.

6 Shirah Frost (CCHS) def. Katie Beth Woods 6-1, 6-2.

In girls doubles:

1 Courtnie Rae Carrol and Anna Kate Akins (Fort Payne) def. Briley Hincy Aubree Sipsy 6-2, 6-4.

2 Brooke Hincy and Ella Maples (CCHS) def. Micaela Domingo and Debbie Domingo 6-2, 4-6 (10-2).

3 Mattie Goss and Nevaeh Gaidurgis (CCHS) def. Braelyn Neeley and Katie Beth Woods 6-2, 6-0.

In boys singles:

1 Champ Goss def. Carson Pike 7-6(4), 3-6, 13-11.

2 Colton Hooper lost to Patrick Long 2-6, 6-1, 7-10.

3 Levi Crabtree lost to Joseph Hernandez 4-6, 3-6.

4 Athens Green def. Elliot Guice 6-4, 2-6, 10-7.

5 Anthony Gaidurgis lost to Eli Walters 3-6, 5-7.

6 AJ Lemons lost to Tristen Rogers 0-6, 3-6.

Fort Payne swept all three doubles positions for the team win.
